Dr. John T. Malcynski, MD, FACS, FCCP

Dr. John Malcynski is a board-Certified General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating medical school, he completed his General Surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire followed by fellowship training in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Malcynski also spent 23 years in the United States Army Reserves where he rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel.

Dr. Malcynski practiced as a trauma surgeon and general surgeon as well as a surgical intensive care physician for over 30 years. During that time, he has authored numerous scientific publications appearing in a number of prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals. His publication list also includes book chapters and medical textbook contributions. Dr Malcynski has spent years in academic medicine and has held faculty positions at Rutgers Medical School, The University of Miami and FAU, to name just a few. He has been responsible for teaching hundreds of present physicians. He has also participated on or chaired several hospital committees. Dr. Malcynski has always been a patient advocate and is a strong proponent of patient centered care where the patient plays a vital role in the management of his or her health care.
